Bring the story to life by using props such as puppets, stuffed animals, or other toys that relate to the story. For example, if you are reading a story about animals, have your child act out the story using animal puppets.
Set up a cozy reading nook in your home with pillows, blankets, and a comfortable chair. Encourage your child to choose books to read in their special reading space.
Ask your child questions about the story and encourage them to participate in the reading experience. For example, ask them to predict what will happen next or have them act out a scene from the story.
Many Dalton and Remie books include coloring pages of the characters and illustrations from the story. Encourage your child to color in the pages as you read or even create their own illustrations of the story. This can help them engage with the story on a visual level and provide a fun creative outlet.

Reading time doesn't have to be a solo activity. Make it a family affair by reading together and discussing the story. Take turns reading aloud or assign different characters to family members to bring the story to life. You could even have a family book club where you read and discuss Dalton and Remie books together.
